I’m not too familiar with Jason Mraz, but what I’ve heard from him I have liked. I am pretty familiar with his We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things album and with his other popular singles. I like what I’ve heard from him so that’s why I decided to listen to this album.
I liked this album. It took me a little bit to get into it, but eventually I definitely got into it. I like the chill vibes that this album offers and I like Jason’s voice. I definitely can see criticism that a lot of the songs sound pretty similar. I think the songs could have had a little more variety in terms of tone, tempo, genre etc. I do think that the album runs a little long, but overall I really like it. I know some people also may have a problem with how cheerful and optimistic this album is, but I thought it was something nice to have in these times. It’s a nice reminder to be grateful for what you have. There weren’t any songs that I disliked. There were quite a few that I really did like. My favorites were “Look For The Good,” “Good Old Daze,” and “Hearing Double.”
This album is definitely pretty reggae-heavy, so if you are a reggae fan I think you would enjoy this album. If not, you might think the album can get a little repetitive. I’d give this album a 6/10. Have you listened to this album? Let me know your thoughts down below.
