I'm definitely disappointed with my progress this month. I didn't get as much done as I had hoped. I took a big break from listening to music this month. I think I was a little burnt out from listening to so many things for the past few months. I should be at ~8.33 of each media type by the end of May. I'm on track for TV with 12 shows (17 overall) and for music with 30 albums. I'm behind in movies. I've only watched 5 movies from 2020 (15 overall). I'm also behind in books. I've only read 4 books from 2020 (9 overall). As I've said it's a little difficult to watch 2020 movies these days with all the movie theaters closed, and movies being delayed. And there haven't been many Netflix movies that I've been interested in.
There's a few things that I want to briefly talk about that I haven't previously posted reviews for.
Listen To Your Heart:
I watch anything in the Bachelor franchise. I didn't really have high hopes for this show. It seemed like a weird premise, but I actually really enjoyed this show. I think it needs to have more episodes to develop the romantic relationships. I think there needs to be a little bit more focus on that before they go into the singing competition, but overall I thought the show was really good. it definitely gave me a good dose of the Bachelor while we're in this Bachelor desert, and it definitely brought the reality TV drama. I'll definitely be watching future seasons.
The Farewell (2019):
I was very underwhelmed by this movie. This got such good reviews and I had such high hopes, but I thought it was pretty boring and bland. The emotional punch wasn't quite there for me. That's about all I have to say for that one.
Now it's time for my monthly favorites. There's no certain number. It varies depending on how I feel every month, and is also across every category.
love is not dying, Jeremy Zucker. I really loved this album. It was really chill and had quite a few bangers on there.
Circe, Madeline Miller. I really enjoyed this book. It's been awhile since I liked a book this much.
The Half of It, Netflix. This movie was so good! I loved it. It was such a well made Netflix movie.
Listen to Your Heart, ABC. This is just classic Bachelor reality TV that I love.
Though I may not have gotten much done this month, I do think I found some real gems with what I did watch/listen to/read.
And that's pretty much it for this recap. Do you have any thoughts on any of the things I discussed above? Definitely let me know your thoughts down below!
